Change the World

Closing the Teach For America Blogging Gap

About Me

John is a public finance attorney with Kutak Rock LLP, where he assists charter schools, school districts, and nonprofit organizations in meeting their facility financing objectives.  He formerly worked for the Charter School Growth Fund (CSGF), a non-profit fund that invests in the nation’s highest performing charter school operators to dramatically expand their impact on low-income and minority students. Prior to joining CSGF, John was a 2010 Teach for America Corps Member, where he helped lead his school to the highest high school math growth in the State of Colorado. His students demonstrated almost two years of growth on a nationally normed assessment. He also served as a teacher mentor and diversity facilitator for new teachers. In addition, John has a background in immigration law and economic justice; he has represented clients in foreclosure, predatory lending, fraud, and misrepresentation. He holds a JD from the University of Notre Dame Law School, an MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, and a BSBA from the University of Denver. On his free-time, he enjoys mentoring students, competing in triathlons and marathons, and spending time with his wife Holly Quintessa, and three sons, Jack, Bennett, and Peter.
